Christopher Logue – Red Bird

Christopher Logue lays some poetry over jazz. Well before ranting verse, before the Mersey poets even, but English poetry of an earlier generation doing something, that was then, new.
The record was recorded in London on the 29th of May 1959. The poems being loosely based on Pablo Neruda’s “Veinte Poemas de Amor” (Twenty Love Poems).
