The Dancer

This poem is from long haired music paper Rolling Stone, issue 140, 2 August, 1973.

The Dancer

in the city
she waits poised
on the brink
of flight

three paintings
and a poem
of light
to accompany her
on fire

music
who waited
in my bed
to leap with her

is naked
shivering
alone tonight
