Hate The System

Anarcho punk poetry from Leicester zine Chemical Warfare, number 2, 1987.

Bigot

They call me a bigot cos I don’t eat meat
And I don’t wear leather on my feet
They call me a bigot cos I don’t conform
Or wear society’s uniform

They call me a bigot cos I hate the system
And I believe in anarchy and peace
They call me a bigot cos I will not listen
To the authoritarian police

They call me a bigot cos I say what I think
I don’t take drugs and I rarely drink
They call me a bigot cos I know what’s right
But I refuse to use violence in our fight

They call me a bigot and a pacifist
But I will not sit on my arse
They call me a bigot but I will protest
Because the system is a farce

They call me a bigot but I’ve got an open mind
So what if I sometimes step out of line?:

Yes, they call me a bigot, but who am I to disagree?
I stick to my views cos I want us to be free!
