Autumn Forever

Poem from Cuddon’s Cosmopolitan Review, 28 May, 1965. This was an anarchist literary review published between 1965-67. It was published from Gray’s Inn Road, London.

Better to be some scarecrow
naked on a fertile soil under
a summer sky, wishing that birds
were your friends
than this:
watching flowers die
and Autumn forever
in the city.

Bart O’Farrell
