Alphabet Soup was a ‘zine known for it’s sense of humour and comedy porn. It was put together by Emma Anderson and the awesome Mike Berenyi. I got to know them as regulars at Redskins gigs. I’ve happy memories of going to see Flipper (the band, not the dolphin) on my birthday one year with Miki.
The girls went on to fame as the band Lush. I remember asking Miki in the pub what the best thing about her new found fame was. She looked into her drink and then laughed, ‘knowing that thousands of students are wanking over pictures of me.’ You go girl!
From 1985, the magnificent Miki Berenyi. Long may she reign.
